This is a wholly owned subsidiary of Faranani Health Solutions Ltd through which it conducts it’s core business. It was previously a joint venture with Afrox Hospitals (now Life Healthcare) into which FHS had placed it’s whole core business. Withdrawal of Life Healthcare led FHS to assume 100% ownership

It is accredited by the Council of Medical Schemes as a Managed Care Organisation.

FHCM contracts with clients for healthcare delivery to a client’s defined population on the basis of innovative re-imbursement models that make it possible to lower the price of medical cover

The FHCM business model enables medical schemes to design and market affordable medical cover options where FHCM gets contracted for primary healthcare delivery, therefore

  • Employers can place their low income employees who are currently not on medical aid on such cover.
  • Individuals previously unable to afford medical aid can enrol on these affordable options,
  • Trade Unions can negotiate for medical aid cover for low income earners where affordability has previously been sighted as an the impediment by employer

An indirect impact being to redirect income earners to private healthcare away from public facilities which are then freed to offer better care to the truly indigent.

The full primary healthcare service offering include GP Consultations & medicines (day to day care), chronic disease management, basic radiology, basic pathology, primary care dentistry (through a contracted dental network), primary care optometry (through a contracted optometry network), HIV/AIDS management
