“We believe that hard work deserves to be rewarded, and that’s why we make sure that we recognise the outstanding achievers in the financial planning industry annually,” according to the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa (FPI). On Tuesday night, at a gala dinner that formed part of the FPI’s Professional Digital Convention, the 2020 award winners were announced.
Each year, the FPI honours a Certified Financial Planner® professional with the FPI Financial Planner of the Year Award. The award is described as “the industry’s equivalent of the Oscars.” Launched in 2000, this award is one of the most prominent projects undertaken by FPI. The winner of the 2020 Financial Planner of the Year Award is Hester van der Merwe CFP®.
