While SATRA’s primary focus is to comply with the regulatory requirements of the National Department of Transport, SATRA believes that in order for the Towing and Recovery Industry to self regulate effectively, the Industry needs to achieve sustainable growth and maintain high standards of service delivery, ethics and integrity.
SATRA's long term strategy is to relentlessly drive the standards of the the Towing and Recovery Industry upwards by the achievement of sustainable and continued empowerment of its members and the maintenance and protection of the interests of all its stakeholders.
SATRA's stakeholders are SATRA’s customers, suppliers and employees as well as the government and the public.
Primarily insurance which covers any loss of, or damage to vehicle insurance an insured motor vehicle (including motor cycles, caravans and trailers) arising from an accident, fire or theft. Also included in this class of business is third party and property damage arising from motor vehicle accidents.
