QSURE STEPS INTO COLLECTIONS AND PAYMENTS INDUSTRY AS KEY PLAYER

Well-known collections and payments company, QLINK Holdings (Pty) Ltd, today announced it has rebranded Insure Group Managers Services (IGMS) to QSURE. Chief Executive Officer, Ian Thompson said the rebranding follows an intensive process to conceptualise and position the brand to align with its holdings company, QLINK Holdings (Pty)Ltd.

QLINK Holdings (Pty)Ltd, has been operating in the collections and payments industry since 1998 and currently manages monthly collections in excess of R4billion. It acquired IGMS in April of this year as part of the disposal process of Insure Group, after it was placed under voluntary curatorship in September 2018.

Thompson noted that although QSURE will continue to operate as a separate entity within the Group, both companies are excited about the opportunities presented by combining their skills, experience and technologies. “We believe the coming together of QLINK and QSURE will enable both to become even more competitive in the broader financial services market.”

The QSURE brand borrows its corporate colours and appearance, and even part of its name, from the  Q LINK brand, which reinforces the alignment between the two companies. QSURE specialises in insurance, where credibility and trustworthiness are key to success. Its new tagline “Integrity in Motion” speaks to the company’s vision to regain integrity and build a trusted collections service for the industry.

QSURE will be managed by an executive team from both companies, under the leadership of Thompson as CEO. “Our long-standing clients will be pleased to know that they will be looked after by the same employees they’ve come to know. They can expect the same high levels of service and smooth operational procedures, backed by the same user-friendly technology.”

The Curator of Insure Group, Pieter Bezuidenhout, said this announcement signals a new direction for the business. “Throughout the curatorship, I have been impressed with the quality, depth of skills and technological ability of the business. I wish QSURE well for the future and am confident that they will remain a successful business and a valuable player in the industry.”

Losses Made Basis:

This is a method of determining whether a loss falls within the cover of an insurance policy. The insurer is responsible for losses notified (made) during the policy period irrespective of when the claim occurred. This basis should be contrasted with the losses occurring basis. Also known as claims made basis.
