Bestmed Medical Scheme: Bestmed Tempo wellness programme

Bestmed Medical Scheme offers free Bestmed Tempo wellness programme benefits to the value of R4500 to all beneficiaries, regardless of their option.

To unlock the programme’s free benefits, Bestmed beneficiaries need only complete a free Health Assessment (HRA) at one of the following pharmacies: Dis-Chem, Clicks, Van Heerden, or Alpha Pharm. Assessment results are analysed and classified as high-, medium- or low-risk. The results and interpretation thereof will be sent to beneficiaries via email and will be available to view by logging into the member portal on Bestmed’s website or via the Bestmed App.

Once the HRA is completed, beneficiaries will have access to the following benefits in the Bestmed Tempo wellness programme via Bestmed’s contracted network of service providers:

• 3 consultations with a dietician per beneficiary 18 years and older
• 3 consultations with a biokineticist per beneficiary 18 years and older
• 1 nutritional assessment for the whole family
• 3 consultations with a nurse for babies 0-24 months old
• 1 functional consultation with an occupational therapist for children 3-12 years old
• 1 fitness assessment with a biokineticist for children 13-17 years old
