Abbood Valuations is a sole proprietary business, with a team of assistants and secretaries who have experience in rates and taxes valuation work, insurance valuations, valuations for deceased estates and willing buyer/willing seller valuations.
Abbood Valuations is headed up by Colin Abbood, a member of the South African Property Owner's Association and the South African Institute of Valuers, and a registered member of the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession.
Colin, a veteran of the valuation industry who has been in the business for 33 years brings a wealth of experience to bear on this subject.
Abbood Valuations specialise in industrial and commercial valuations of land and buildings. Plant and machinery valuations are conducted by our Associates.
An important part of our service is that we understand the need for companies to be able to budget for valuations and hence our fees are quoted up front, based on time not on a percentage of the value, in accordance with the Tariff as laid down by the SAIV.
Now given that insurance valuations have many factors to take into account including the re-instatement period, provision for professional fees (architects, quantity surveyors, engineers and project managers), municipal plan scrutiny fees, debris removal and site clearance costs, why would you want to risk the wrath of shareholders in the event of a major under-insured loss, by guessing the correct sum insured for your company’s buildings, plant and machinery sums insured?
Contact us for insurance valuations that will give you the assurance that your base building, plant and machinery sums insured are adequate for insurance purposes.
