Paladin Underwriting Managers came into existence in July 1999 with the aim of providing a niche commercial motor market for Insurance Brokers and their clients. We are an independent South African company and our head office is in Cape Town. In January 2005 we expanded to Johannesburg and set up our offices in Fredman Towers, Sandton. We already had substantial support in Johannesburg and decided that we could offer better service and build stronger relationships with our brokers by having a physical presence in the Gauteng market. Our motor business is written into Centriq Insurance Company (RF) Limited.

Paladin has quite a diverse book of business, from small delivery to haulage, bus to car hire and commercial and corporate fleets. We can provide policies expertly suited to the client’s needs and because all Underwriting is done in-house, we can focus our flexibility on each risk as it is presented. Close analysis of the risk beforehand, coupled with detailed examination of what both parties expect out of the policy combine to produce a situation where claims can be efficiently submitted and promptly settled. The company is run by Carl Hunt (MD), Peter Donald (Marketing Director), James Pickering (Claims Director).
